The Cummins Quiet Connect 20kW RS20AC, equipped with a 200-Amp, service-entrance-rated, NEMA 3R indoor/outdoor automatic transfer switch, provides whole-house coverage during an outage. 

The RS20AC home standby generator is permanently connected to your home via the automatic transfer switch, utilizing the existing natural gas or propane supply. It continuously monitors the power company's distribution lines and automatically activates and operates upon detecting an outage, running until power is restored by the utility.

The RA Series 200-Amp Automatic Transfer Switch with NEMA 3R enclosure rated for indoor and outdoor use installs between the utility meter and the main circuit breaker panel. The generator controller automatically starts the generator within seconds after it detects an outage. After startup, it signals the transfer switch to isolate the home from the utility lines and supply it with power from the generator. It all happens automatically within seconds after an outage.

Powerful motor starting capability allows the Cummins RS20AC to start a 5-ton air conditioner while operating a full household load and supply clean power to sensitive electronics at the same time. From a no-load condition to accepting a normal household load, the voltage varies by no more than 1.25 percent. Under steady-state conditions, the RS20AC maintains voltage within 1.25 percent and frequency never varies more than 1.25 percent. Clean, worry free power you can count on.

The Cummins 20kW Home Standby Generator, featuring Intelligent Load Management (kit sold separately), is designed to learn and remember the power needs of 240-volt appliances such as air conditioners. This load management capability enables a smaller, more fuel-efficient generator to handle up to four central air conditioners or other substantial loads. The A051C329 Cummins Load Management Kit can manage two appliances, like an air conditioner or water heater, and with two kits, up to four loads can be controlled.

You can monitor and control the Cummins Quiet Connect 20kW generator from virtually any location. The Advanced Remote Access feature, available at no additional cost, utilizes the highway safety and monitoring network designed for vehicles and equipment. With the Cloud Connect Smartphone App, you can check the generator's status, schedule exercise periods, and even manually start or stop the generator using your phone, tablet, or computer. Additionally, you can send performance data straight to your authorized dealer to ensure hassle-free maintenance.

The Cummins 20kW Generator boasts a compact and efficient design, fitting within a 34 x 36 x 27-inch enclosure. It complies with NFPA 37 code, allowing for installation merely 18 inches away from a residence.
